Bakeries & cafés in Bergen

Four bakeries sit among the ten Bergen places, and three of them are in the centre. Solros cafe and Bakery at Marken 31 is a bakery with a café, and its reviews come back to cinnamon rolls, vegan pastries, pain au chocolat and sourdough; it opens from 10 AM, Tuesday to Saturday. Godi Briød on Hollendergaten is an organic bakery and sandwich bar, and Bergensbakeriet at Vetrlidsallmenningen 2 lists hours from 10 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Saturday. The fourth, Kronstad Surdeig, is a sourdough micro-bakery on Edvard Griegs vei in Kronstad, south of the centre. On the same street as Bergensbakeriet, the ice-cream shop Tjommis opens only from Thursday to Sunday, from noon until 9 or 10 PM. The six cafés range from a wine café near Bryggen to a coffee corner in an upper-secondary school.
