Bakeries & cafés in Poland

177 places in 83 cities.

All 177 Polish places lie in the west of the country, about two thirds of them in two regions: Greater Poland around Poznań (21) and Gniezno, and West Pomerania, from Szczecin (13) to Baltic resorts such as Jarosławiec, Kołobrzeg and Międzyzdroje. Wrocław (11) and Lower Silesia, and Lubusz towns near the German border such as Słubice, make up most of the rest; Warsaw, Kraków, Łódź and Gdańsk do not appear. Ice-cream parlours (68) are the largest group, ahead of coffee shops (45) and bakeries (26).

In Poznań's Jeżyce district, Bajgle Króla Jana on Kraszewskiego is reviewed for bagels and tekstura on Prusa for specialty coffee and breakfasts such as shakshuka, while Szczecin has Kardamon, a breakfast café and bakery on Rynek Nowy. Wrocław adds a Georgian bakery, P'URI on Sienkiewicza, reviewed for khachapuri, and Bakery Opolska, open from 5 AM on weekdays. On the coast, seven of Jarosławiec's eleven entries are ice-cream shops, and Kołobrzeska Pracownia Lodów in Grzybowo is an ice-cream workshop. Almost three quarters of the places with known hours open every day.
