Bakeries & cafés in Toulouse

Three of the nine Toulouse addresses are in the Carmes quarter, two of them on Rue des Filatiers. At number 30, Mr Madeleine is a pâtisserie devoted to madeleines in flavours such as lemon, pistachio and raspberry, whose reviews also mention canelés and praline brioche; at number 9, Boulangerie des Carmes is a compact bakery with traditional breads, cakes and takeaway sandwiches, open from 7 AM to 8 PM, Monday to Saturday. On the left bank, Merry's Délices on Avenue de Grande-Bretagne makes Algerian and oriental cakes and pastries. All nine are bakeries or pâtisseries, seven list €1–10 per person, and most close on Sundays: only three open then, two of them until 2 PM.
