Poros here means two places: the Saronic island and the port town on Kefalonia. On the island, Patisserie Glykisma sells baklava, galaktoboureko and portokalopita, the orange filo cake, from 8 AM to 10 PM daily, and Melístakto is a café on the hill by the monastery above Monastiri beach, with cakes, lemonade and Greek salad. On Kefalonia, Ζαχαροπλαστείο Γιαννάκης (Giannakis) on Agiou Grigoriou serves gelato, vegan flavours included, until 2 AM, and Manentis Bakery opens from 7 AM with baklava, ice cream, spinach pies and pizza. Thiseus Artisan Bakery bakes pies and sandwiches and makes espresso coffee from 8 AM.
