Just off the main square on Pražská, Le Frenchie is a café, bakery and brunch restaurant open from 8 AM (8:30 AM on Sundays) until 10 PM, or 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays; reviews talk most about its cakes, thick French toast and eggs Benedict, and it lists vegetarian dishes and outdoor tables. The two other bakeries keep opposite timetables. Home bakery on Ovocná opens for just two hours a week, from 7 to 9 AM on Saturdays, selling bread, rolls and sweet buns such as a nougat roll alongside škvarková placka, the Czech crackling flatbread. Pekařství PEKO on Klatovská třída works weekdays only, from 6:30 AM to 7 PM.
