Bakeries & cafés in Liverpool

Pies, pasties and barm cakes fill the counters of three Liverpool bakeries. The Bakery on Townsend Lane in Anfield opens at 7 AM from Monday to Saturday, selling pies, barm cakes and cream cakes, and Dowies Bakery in L11 bakes pasties, meat and potato pies and sausage rolls, open until 6 PM. The Oven Door Bakery, on the University of Liverpool campus off Brownlow Hill, sells bacon and black-pudding barms and hot paninis on weekdays from 7 AM to 3 PM. Aldham Robarts Pavilion is a small café on the LJMU campus on Maryland Street. Sweet Time Bakery on Myrtle Parade is a Chinese-style bakery with pineapple buns, mochi and Swiss rolls, open until 9 PM and closed on Wednesdays.
