Bakeries & cafés in Kalmar

Semlor, the cream buns filled with almond paste, turn up in the reviews of Hantverks Konditoriet on Trädgårdsgatan, one of two bakeries listed for Kalmar; sandwiches and freshly baked pastries feature too. The other, listed simply as Bageri on Larmgatan, gives hours of 8 AM to 6 PM on weekdays and Sundays and lists Saturday as closed. For ice cream there is Kalmar Glasskiosk, a small soft-ice stand with seats in Kalmarsundsparken. The remaining five are cafés and coffee shops, spread from the central streets and the railway station out to Polhemsgatan and Smedbyvägen.
