Heuvelland is a rural municipality of villages in West Flanders, and each of its three places sits in a different one. Bakery Julien on the Markt in Nieuwkerke bakes bread, cakes and croissants, opening at 6:30 AM with a lunchtime break from Tuesday to Friday and closing on Sundays and Mondays. In Westouter, Rita Caron on Dikkebusstraat combines a small grocery with a bakery counter and opens every day except Tuesday, Sunday included.
