Bakeries & cafés in Gateshead

The three Gateshead places are spread over different parts of the borough. In Low Fell, The Cottage Home Bakery on Kells Lane opens at 7:30 AM for pies, pasties, bread rolls and scones, and makes a giant peach melba for celebrations; it closes at 4 PM on weekdays and 2 PM on Saturdays. Beckleberry's is a café and ice-cream counter in the Metrocentre with coffee, scones and milkshakes, and the only one of the three open on Sundays. On Old Durham Road, Waffle Latte is a small café and dessert shop serving breakfast and sandwiches, open until 4:30 PM on weekdays, with delivery.
