Bakeries & cafés in Darmstadt

Evening hours belong to one of the four Darmstadt bakeries alone: Balkan Bäckerei on Adelungstraße, in the city centre, bakes burek with cheese or minced meat, pizza slices and pastries from 6 AM to 8 PM, and from 8 AM on Sundays. In Darmstadt-Nord, Bäckerei Hofmann on Liebfrauenstraße, one branch of a bakery with several shops, is known for its rolls and opens on Sunday mornings too, while Hiyab Bakery on Im Harras sells bread, rolls, fresh eggs and a few jams until 4 PM every day. On Rheinstraße in Darmstadt-West, the back shop is a weekday-only snack bakery for coffee and filled rolls, closing at 2:30 PM.
