Brunch is the draw at Charo Coffee House on Avenida Alfonso el Sabio, where eggs Benedict and French toast recur in reviews. Llorente's Coffee, near the General Hospital, opens on weekdays only, 7 AM to 2 PM, for breakfasts and Spanish omelette. Later hours belong to La Caseta on Avenida la Rambla, in the 03550 postcode of Sant Joan d'Alacant, which serves crêpes and waffles until 11 PM or later and closes on Wednesdays, and to Cafe Royal on Calle Foguerer, a bar with pool tables and Colombian empanadas, open until midnight except on Tuesdays.
