At 6:15 AM, Boulangerie Pâtisserie Sainte Claire on Rue de Bellac is the first to open, followed at 6:30 AM by Suchaud on Avenue du Maréchal de Lattre-de-Tassigny and Noël Frederic on Avenue Emile Labussière, which stays open until 8 PM from Monday to Saturday. Reviews of Suchaud keep returning to its pains au chocolat and its prices. La Tresse Dorée on Rue Montmailler is known for madeleines, and Le Fournil de Fernand on Rue du Maupas, open on weekdays until 2 PM, for quiches and salads; both close at weekends, as does Le Fournil des Arènes.
