The Kappatos name appears on two of the five bakeries. Kappatos Patisserie on Leoforos Antoni Tritsi, the waterfront avenue near the bridge, opens every day from 8 AM to 10 PM; lemon pie and portokalopita, the Greek orange cake, feature in its reviews. The Kappatos workshop on Korgialeniou sells from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Saturday, and makes the New Year vasilopita. For pies, a shop listed simply as Bakery, at Ioannou Metaxa 62, bakes bougatsa and cheese pies every morning except Sunday until 12:30 PM, and Artostoli on Ithakis, by the harbour, pairs feta pie with frappé from 6:30 AM. The fifth, on Agiou Gerasimou, is in a village outside the town, according to its reviews.
